My zeal for fitness began in middle school when my parents bought me a pull-up bar for my door. Since that day the process of testing my strength and improving upon it was like a drug for me. This interest I have carried with me all the way through high school in various weightlifting programs, onto college in the US Naval Academy, life in the Marine Corps, and now in civilian life as a personal trainer in Texas. This interest has motivated me to start my LLC, “Nerve and Muscle Fitness.”

I enjoy helping others through teaching, mentorship and passing on to the next generations as well as those around me knowledge that will better help them to live their lives. Fitness does not have to be complicated or time-consuming. What I’ve learned over the past ten years is that strength, muscle, and coordination can be improved in almost any environment without a gym or much equipment.

I will be forming a connecting web between all the books and studies I’ve read and put to practice over the past decade providing you with principles and a worldview that will help you get the most out of your fitness journey no matter what your schedule is. You will find a collection of these thoughts here.

Philosophy

- Work smarter, not harder. The balance between work and life can be difficult to manage. Therefore, we must attack our training in a way that will produce the most results in the shortest amount of time.

- Finding ways to improve our flexibility and maintain momentum as situations change around us while still finding joy in our training.

- Utilize exercise to feel more energetic throughout the day as well as the rest of your life.

- Discovering ways in which these exercises help us to be better people with the discipline and strength to aid those around us.

- Question everything. What are my starting assumptions? Is there a signal within all this noise? Is the dude writing this to be trusted?

Bottom line:

To train effectively both the muscular and nervous system to build an energy-efficient machine that is convenient and can be improved upon whether staying at home or during travels.
